He was born and raised in Ringgold, Georgia. He is a graduate of Shorter University (2011, B.S. in Religious Studies), and a two time graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with an M. Div. in Christian Ministry (2021) and a D. Min. in Church Revitalization (2025). Prior to serving in Cave Spring, Jarrod served in various youth ministry and associate pastor roles. Most recently, Jarrod and his family served as full-time missionaries in the remote Aurora province in the Philippines. Now serving as a pastor, he is passionate about equipping the church to reach their community and the nations with the gospel. Jarrod and his wife, Cheree, married in 2009 and they have five children: Harper, Hudson, Evie, Ivie, and Roseali. He enjoys spending time with family, woodworking, fishing, and pulls for the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and Chase Elliott. This makes us, with only two exceptions, the oldest in Northwest Georgia. The building seen in the photo to the right was not built until 1851. Prior to its construction, the church met in a general store and then the dormitory of the Hearn School. It was during these early years as well that the church played a critical role in the founding of the Georgia School for the Deaf. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries.
